Monthly meetings are a great way to jump start and maintain your screenwriting for a variety of reasons. ASA maintains your active membership based on the annual year. Which means, your professional, platinum membership runs from the day your membership application is submitted and activated for twelve months thereafter.  For example, if you join January 4th, your membership will run until January 3rd of the following year.  This does not apply to Lifetime Memberships, which run for the natural life of the member and does not need to be annually renewed. Associate memberships currently do not expire.
